Project Overview
This full-color flyer insert was designed for inclusion in the Gulf Coast Film Festival event booklet, targeting visitors and attendees from outside the immediate Seabrook area.
The goal was to showcase Seabrook as a charming coastal destination: highlighting waterfront dining, outdoor recreation, birding, sailing, and local businesses while reinforcing the city's tourism brand and driving traffic to seabrooklove.com.
The design needed to be visually engaging in a high-content festival program environment while clearly communicating Seabrook's identity and offerings.
My Contributions
- Destination Storytelling Through Layout
Designed a collage-style composition that evokes travel memories, using overlapping "photo snapshot" framing to create a scrapbook aesthetic. - Brand Voice & Messaging
Structured copy to balance emotional appeal ("Experience Seabrook") with practical tourism information (website, phone number, proximity to Space Center Houston). - Typography Pairing & Hierarchy
Combined bold headline typography with a brush-script treatment for "Seabrook" to create warmth and approachability while maintaining legibility. - Color Strategy
Applied a coastal palette anchored in teal and red to evoke water, energy, and local vibrancy. - Visual Composition & Balance
Arranged photography to create movement around the page while keeping key information centralized and readable.
