Seabrook's 2024 State of the City

Role(s): Videographer, Editor, Producer

Project Overview

I produced this video as a solo project for the City of Seabrook, highlighting municipal facilities and services through a guided walkthrough with Mayor Thom Kolupski. Instead of a formal script, I worked from a topic outline, ensuring each department and initiative was covered while keeping the delivery natural and engaging.

My Contributions

  • Pre-Production: Planned the content flow using topic prompts, coordinated access to multiple city facilities, and prepared all filming equipment.
  • Production: Filmed and directed the walkthrough, capturing both the mayor’s delivery and supporting b-roll. Adjusted to varied environments, from offices to outdoor spaces, while maintaining clear visuals and audio.
  • Post-Production: Edited and structured the footage into a cohesive narrative, added rotoscoped 3D text graphics to label facilities and emphasize key points, cleaned and balanced audio, and applied color correction to unify the look across locations.
  • Delivery: Exported the final video, designed a branded thumbnail, and optimized it for YouTube and city communication channels.

    Skills Highlighted

    • Cinematography: On-location filming, directing talent, capturing A-roll and B-roll.
    • Production Management: Topic planning, scheduling, and coordinating access.
    • Post-Production: Editing, audio cleanup, color grading, and rotoscoped 3D text graphics.
    • Publishing: YouTube optimization, thumbnail design, and distribution
